A golf practice device comprising a base (121) having a border and an upper, playing surface (126); an elongate enclosure (112) for catching a golf ball struck from the playing surface, the enclosure comprising an open end (113) and a closed end (114) and having a lower portion of the enclosure extending from the closed end to the base (121); the open end (113) having a perimeter which extends upwardly from the rear; a resilient, elongate support (130) fixed to the sides of the base (121) and supporting the upper portion of the open end (113); a support (291) adapted to support the closed end (114) forward of the base wherein, in use, the support (130) applies a tension to the enclosure (112) between the closed end (114) and open end (113) to cause the resilient elongate support (130) to flex forwardly such that the perimeter is inclined forwardly with respect to the base (121).
