The invention publishes a method for transmitting multimedia message between different multimedia message center. The method involves: a. The multimedia message center of the sender receives the multimedia message which the sender terminal refers, and makes up the route forwarding requesting message; b. The multimedia message center of the sender transmits the route forwarding requesting message to the multimedia message center of the receiver; c. The multimedia message center of the receiver reverts the response of the route forwarding requesting message to multimedia message center of the sender; d. The multimedia message center of the receiver processes the multimedia message dispense operating; e. The multimedia message center of the receiver makes sending report and sends to the multimedia message center of the sender. This invention solves the problem which the multimedia message center of the sender cannot know whether the multimedia message was correctly transmitted to the receiver terminal when the receiver terminal didn't make sending report.
