The invention involves using a masterbatch comprising one or more colouring agents, a thermoplastic polymer or copolymer and one or more liquid plasticizers for said thermoplastic polymer or copolymer, and optionally carbon black, for the manufacture of a coloured wood-polymer composite material based on said thermoplastic polymer or copolymer and on wood particles, said coloured wood-polymer composite material having a substantially uniform distribution of said colouring agents and/or an improved light stability.
