There is provided an assembly comprising a paint container (1) for use with a paint roller (2) and a receptacle (3) for a paint roller, wherein the paint container (1) and receptacle (3) are provided with cooperating attachment means (16,17) for removably attaching the receptacle (3) to the paint container (1), and wherein further the paint container (1) and receptacle (3) are provided with respective cover means (5,10) for substantially air-tight closing the paint container (1) and receptacle (3), respectively.
