The invention relates to a coating material (1) which is laminated and which is intended for insulation systems (7) for installation members, such as pipes, tanks and ventilation ducts. According to the invention, a surface of the insulation system (7) must be covered by the coating material (1). The coating material (1) comprises a first layer in the form of an outer foil (3), e.g. aluminium foil, having a thickness of between 20 and 100 µm, preferably between 30 and 60 µm, and a plastic layer (4) which is disposed between the first foil layer (3) and the surface of the insulation system.
