The performance of peroxide compounds, in particular when associated with bleaches for washing ink stains out of textiles, is improved by using a combination of a bleach activator of the amide type, sulfonylphenylester type and/or quaternary nitrogen-substituted acetonitrile type with a terpyridine compound capable of forming a complex with iron and manganese ions, or an iron or manganese complex preformed accordingly.
