A bale wrap or tie monitor is provided on a round baler 10 that uses a sensor array 30, 32 to sense the presence or absence of twine, net or film after initial operation of the wrapping mechanism and prior to ejection of the bale 16 onto the field. Either, or both, visual and audible alarms can be initiated when default conditions are met.
