A holder (1) is disclosed for receiving an electric component with wire ends (51a) which act as electric connections for the component. The holder has a body (10) with a central part in which an upwardly open recess (2) is formed to receive the component. The vertical side walls of the recess (2) comprise upwardly open slots (3) suitable for guiding wire ends (51a) of the component.
