The invention relates to a traction mechanism guide which is used to guide and clamp a traction mechanism and can be pivoted about a pivot bearing in the assembly position. Said traction mechanism guide comprises a tensioning device (7, 14, 26) which is fixed thereto, operates in relation to the traction mechanism (4, 25), and is supported on a third object (11, 20, 27) by means of an abutment element (9, 17, 30) that can be moved in relation to a restoring force.
