The invention relates to novel universal pigment preparations, which produce practically foam-free aqueous pigment preparations, pigment preparations containing solvents and preparations that are devoid of solvents. The invention also relates to the use of said preparations in aqueous coating materials or coating materials that contain or are devoid of solvents, such as e.g. dyes, paints, adhesives, inks or printing inks.
