The data transfer system (103) comprises: a category information database (105) configured to link and store category items for classifying hierarchically targets described with data, and related transfer destinations; a transfer destination determination unit (602) configured to determine the transfer destination of the received data, upon a data receiving unit (601) receiving the data; an inquiry data receiving unit (608) configured to receive an unprocessed notification from the transfer destination; a category item retrieval unit (609) configured to retrieve the category item from the category information database on the basis of the transfer destination in response to the unprocessed notification; a transfer destination retrieval unit (610) configured to retrieve from the category information database a new transfer destination of the received data on the basis of the retrieved category items; and a data transfer unit (603) configured to transfer the received data to the transfer destination.
