摘要：
The invention relates to a device for transmitting a pedalling movement on cycles used for travel or training. The invention is characterised in that: the device combines an elliptical chainring (1) at the front of the cycle which is connected to the crankset (2) by means of a front free wheel (4), a rear chainring (6) also comprising a free wheel (7) and a transmission belt (5); the device is arranged to enable the automatic levelling of the front elliptical chainring in the horizontal and, consequently, equilibrium position when the user stops pedalling; and the connection and the drive system between the chainrings (1 and 6) is provided by an elastically-deformable and -extendible belt (5).
