In an electrical connecting element (1) comprising an electrical conductor (2) and an electrically conductive coating (3) it is proposed, in order to provide a connecting element which can be manipulated easily and whose coating can be heated rapidly, to form the surface of the coating (3) with a structured area and/or rough surface (5), at least in regions.
