The invention relates to a wheel (6), the axle bearer (2) of said wheel being swivellably mounted on a forked suspension strut support (3) and said support being connected to both a suspension strut (4) and a transverse link (5); a double bearing (19) is located between the transverse link (5) and the forked suspension strut (3). This is advantageous in that the two component bearings in the double bearing can differ in rigidity and, due to the degrees of freedom obtained, the axle steering behaviour can therefore be controlled with greater precision, thus giving rise to an improvement in the overall steering behaviour of the vehicle. Owing to the increased distance between the bearing bushes and the steering axis, the angle through which the forked suspension strut can rotate in the event of lateral forces being exerted is reduced even when the rigidity of the bearing bushes is unchanged relative to the prior art,.
