In one embodiment, a wireless communication device (10) is configured, such as by including appropriate computer program instructions (50), to tailor its retrieval of electronic content based on maintaining device capability information in the wireless communication device (10), and filtering one or more electronic feeds received by the wireless communication device (10) to identify electronic content having content characteristics commensurate with the device capability information.
