The invention relates to an elongated body of a utility motor vehicle, the elongated body being derived from a short body comprising a first flap base (2A) with a rebate (6) bearing on one side of the cabin (17). The elongated body comprises a second flap base (2B) identical to the first flap base (2A) and spaced from said base (2A) in the longitudinal direction of the body, the two flap bases (2A, 2B) being connected to one another by a flap base connection element (15).
