It is disclosed a method of allocating resources for performing a management operation upon network elements of a telecommunication network, comprising the following steps: send a resource allocation request to a first network element of the telecommunication network; at the first network element, calculating a first logical structure comprising a plurality of network elements of the telecommunication network, the plurality of network elements comprising the first network element; distributing the allocation request from the first network element to the remaining network elements of the plurality of network elements according to the first logical structure; and, in at least one of the plurality of network elements, determining whether to allocate resources according to the content of the allocation request.
