The invention concerns a destacking device with a retractable blowing element. The device (1) for destacking flat objects comprises a magazine (M) for feeding flat objects, in which the flat objects are stacked on edge and moved in a certain direction (D) so as to reach a destacking plate (6) placed in the extension of said feed magazine, in order to be ejected one-by-one in a direction (P) perpendicular to said certain direction (D), the device also comprising a blowing element (13) which is provided for sending a stream of air to the flat objects and is retractably mounted in the destacking plate.
