The invention relates to a tire carcass comprising a first ply portion (28), a second ply portion (30) a bead core (14) and a bridge portion (24), wherein each ply portion (28, 30) has an inner sidewall ply (22), an outer sidewall ply (26), a first end, a second end, wherein the first ends of the ply portions (28, 30) are separated by the bridge portion (24), and at least one bridge ply (20), wherein the bridge ply span the bridge portion (24).
