摘要：
A method and system for providing one or more status indicators (340) associated with a request from a device (130) for information from a website (132). According to an embodiment, information received from the website (132) is stored in a cache (144), and the status indicators (340) are generated based on the information in the cache (144). In response to a request from the device (130) one or more of the status indicators (340) are downloaded or otherwise transmitted to the device (130). According to an embodiment, the request is generated by a user activating an HTML link (330) at the device (130). The HTML link (330) is associated with an HTML file (142) which stores the status information (340), and in response to activation, one or more of the status indicators (340) from the HTML file (142) are transmitted to the device (130).
