The present invention relates to an apparatus, a system and a method for forming a connection to a receiving node in an interconnection environment comprising a mixture of different protocols. The apparatus is configured to receive - as a response to an ENUM query performed for a telephone number received from an originating node - multiple NAPTR records, each corresponding to a receiving node and to go through the receiving nodes pointed by the NAPTR records in order to find a node to which the connection is to be established.
