A method of attaching a glass window (16) to automobile soft top (10) by positioning a ring (18) around a window opening (12) in the soft top and wrapping an edge of the window opening (12) around at least a portion of the ring. An adhesive (24) is positioned between the edge portion of the ring (18) and the soft top (10) and the glass window (16) is positioned over the ring (18) and secured thereto by an adhesive (24).
