The invention relates to 4-(3-Aminobenzoyl)-1,3-dimethylpyrazoles of the general formula (I) and the use thereof as herbicides. In said general formula (I), R1 and R2 are radicals such as hydrogen and organic radicals such as alkyl, alkenyl, and alkinyl. Y represents hydrogen or a protecting group such as tosyl.
