摘要：
An idler gear assembly may be provided for an engine (10), comprising an idler gear (48) having a toothed rim (100) and a central opening (102). An idler gear hub (46) can be configured having a mount (80) for mounting to a gear housing (26) of an engine or an engine block (12) of an engine. The central opening of the gear can be positioned over the gear hub, providing an interface between the gear and the hub, which interface can comprise a low friction coating layer on at least one of the hub and the gear.
