The concave-convex image forming unit includes: a die cylinder, which has a mounting mechanism for mounting a concavo-convex image forming die, and a gripper mechanism for transporting the sheet material, and in which the concavo-convex image forming die is mounted to the outer circumferential surface; a resin feeder; and an emitter for emitting a light from the sheet material side in a state in which the sheet material and the concavo-convex image forming surface are in close contact, and the image forming apparatus includes: the concave-convex image forming unit and gripper mechanism, as well as a planar image forming unit for forming planar image on the sheet material and a sheet material transporter for transporting the sheet material.
