The present invention relates to acyclic amino amides of formula (I). These compounds are renin inhibitors of a non-peptidic nature and of low molecular weight. The invention further relates to processes for the preparation of these compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing them, as well as their use and method of treatment of cardiovascular events and renal insufficiency.
