An aspect of the present invention relates to a sole 100 for a shoe, in particular a sports shoe, which comprises a unidirectional bending element 150. The unidirectional bending element 150 enables a dorsal bending of the sole and blocks a plantar bending. The unidirectional bending element 150 is arranged in a forefoot area of the sole 100. Further, the width of the unidirectional bending element 150 is less than half of the width of the sole 100.
