A transparent liquid composition: (a) comprising 10 to 85% by wt. of a surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic surfactants and mixtures thereof; and (b) having about 50% light transmittance or greater using a 1 cm cuvette at wavelength of 410-800 nanometers; and the composition being contained within a package, the package comprising (i) a front wall and opposing rear wall, (ii) each wall comprising an inner layer which is transparent such that its light transmittance is greater than 25% at wavelength of about 410-800 nm, (iii)and an outer layer which is opaque such that its light transmittance is less than 25% at wavelength of about 410-800 nm; characterised in that at least a portion of the inner surface of the rear outer wall is coloured and the outer layer of the front incorporates one or more windows through which the coloured portion is visible.
