The invention relates to a pipe section that is designed as a slip-on coupler or long coupler, said pipe section having one or two inner peripheral seals arranged at respective ends of the pipe section. Slip-on couplers or long couplers are often difficult to interpose between two pipe ends. In order to make it easier to actually handle pipe sections, they have a lever projection on a closed exterior wall thereof, which lever projection extends away from the outer circumference of the pipe section and has a larger radial width than the seal. The slip-on coupler can be better held on said lever projection and it is easier to transmit a force onto the pipe section via the lever projection, using a lever.
