The invention relates to a light module for using in lights, said light module essentially consisting of a printed circuit board that can be connected to a supply network and a light-emitting diode arrangement located on said printed circuit board. An optical wave guide is associated with the light-emitting diode arrangement, the lower end region of the optical wave guide being provided with a light injection surface into which the light emitted by the light-emitting diode arrangement is injected, and the upper end region of the optical wave guide being provided with a light extraction surface via which the injected light is emitted. In order to create a light module wherein it is ensured in an especially simple manner that the optical wave guide is always especially precisely associated with the light-emitting diode arrangement or the light-emitting diode chip located thereon, during the assembly of the light module, a plurality of projections are formed on the lower end region of the optical wave guide, said projections engaging in correspondingly embodied and arranged recesses of the printed circuit board in a securely positioned manner, and a bearing surface is formed on the lower end region of the optical waveguide, on which a fixing device rests in order to fix the optical waveguide to the printed circuit board in a precisely positioned manner.
