A method is provided for low-pollution combustion in which fuel and oxidizer are coupled in a combustion chamber, forming one or more exhaust gas recirculation zones in which a liquid is used as fuel, wherein the fuel is atomized using a gaseous propellant medium, and at least one multiple-phase stream of fluid droplets and propellant medium is blown into the combustion chamber with an inlet velocity in the range of between 30 m/s and 80 m/s and/or the speed of sound dominates in at least a cross section of the multiphase mixture before or at entrance into the combustion chamber.
