A digital multimeter (10) includes a body (100) having a function selector (120) and a first coupler (160) and includes a head (200) having a display (220) and a second coupler (260). The function selector selects a parameter to be measured, and the display displays a measurement corresponding to the parameter to be measured. The first and second couplers arc engaged in a first arrangement joining the body and the head, and the first and second couplers are disengaged in a second arrangement separating the body and the head.
