The invention provides a container (100) which has an erect condition in which it defines a load space (102) within which goods to be transported are receivable and a collapsed condition. The container is configured such that a plurality of like containers, when in their collapsed condition, are receivable in the container for transport together therewith. The container includes a pair of ends (116), at least one and preferably two sides (112,114), which, in the erect condition of the container extend between the ends (116) and a base (118). The ends, the or each side and the base may be formed of elongate elements. Alternatively, the ends, sides and base may be clad such that the load space is partially or fully enclosed.
