The invention relates to a filter unit (100), particularly for treating water, comprising at least two ceramic filter membranes (101; 201) and a mount (102, 202) for the at least two ceramic filter membranes, wherein the ceramic filter membranes are plate-shaped and each comprise a filter active outside and at least one inner discharge channel for filtered water. The mount comprises a collecting chamber, from which water exiting the discharge channels can be drained. The mount comprises receptacles for the fluid-tight fixture of the ceramic filter membranes, wherein said membranes are fixed in said receptacles such that the inner discharge channels are in communication with the collecting chamber. The filter unit is particularly characterized in that at least the part of the mount having the receptacles for the ceramic filter membranes is a molded one piece part. The invention further relates to a method for producing a filter unit of said kind, wherein at least two ceramic filter membranes are arranged within a mold and wherein a mount is produced by molding or injection molding from a liquid polymer mass or from a liquid pre-polymer, the ceramic filter membranes being fixed in said mount.
