Disclosed herein is a Kalman filter channel estimation method for an OFDM system. The Kalman filter channel estimation method for an OFDM system includes estimating a channel using a least squares based on a reference signal location, calculating Kalman gain for the estimated channel, and updating the estimated channel in accordance with the calculated Kalman gain, wherein the calculating the Kalman gain includes obtaining the Kalman gain using a quasi-Newlon technique.
