A Mobile Station apparatus (100) for controlling a handover between a Serving Base Station apparatus (101) and a Target Base Station (102) apparatus is described. The Mobile Station comprises a Handover Message Receiving device (301), a Processing device (303), a Handover device (307) and a timer Value and a Timer device (305). The Handover Message Receiving device (301) is adapted to detect receiving of a Handover message and wherein the Processing device (303) is adapted upon detecting of the Handover message to calculate a Connection Hold Time value. The Handover device (307) is adapted to send a Handover Indication message to the Serving Base Station apparatus (101), to start the Timer device (305) with the Connection Hold Time value and to handover the connection from the Serving Base Station apparatus (101) to the Target Base Station (102) apparatus upon expiring of the Timer device.
