A switching parameter such as the second time interval of the first cycle may be shortened or lengthened. A switching parameter such as the second time interval of a last cycle may be lengthened or shortened to reduce overshoot. A third switch (93) for switching the light source (8) is activated and de-activated delayedly to improve transient behavior.
