The invention relates to a position/path measurement system, comprising a wireless sensor head having a magnetic field-sensitive element and a coil and an encoded measuring body, wherein the measuring body has at least one incremental position determination region with an encoding in one direction and a current flows through the measuring body, wherein said body either comprises an external return conductor or the carrier material and cover tape thereof are connected in an electrically conductive manner, and an electronic sensor evaluation unit. Power is transmitted to the sensor head and signals are transmitted from the sensor head, both in a wireless manner.
