There is provided a vehicle lamp (10) configured to emit a variable light distribution pattern (PA0, PA1...) for a high beam. The vehicle lamp includes: a lamp unit (20) configured to form the variable light distribution pattern, the lamp unit including: a projection lens (22) disposed on an optical axis (Ax); a pair of light sources (24La, 24Ra) configured to emit light, wherein one of the light sources is a left-side light source (24La) which is disposed on a left side of the optical axis, and the other light source is a right-side light source (24Ra) which is disposed on a right side of the optical axis; a pair of reflectors (26L, 26R) arranged on both sides of the optical axis to reflect light emitted from the light sources toward the projection lens; a movable shade (28) disposed between the reflectors and the projection lens; and an actuator (30) configured to move the movable shade between a first position and a second position, wherein: the light forming a given region of the variable light distribution pattern is blocked by the movable shade when the movable shade is in the first position; and the light reflected from the reflectors is not blocked when the movable shade is in the second position; a detector (52) configured to detect an object in front of the vehicle; a drive controller (50) configured to control the actuator when the detector detects the object in front of the vehicle while the vehicle is running; a light amount controller (50) configured to control an amount of the light emitted from the light sources.
