Further, an edge of the plate-shaped tool body is shaped convex as a tapered blade edge (12) extending essentially within a y-z-plane. The tapered blade edge (12) is directed away from the conductor receiving opening (20) and is forming an outer circumferential portion of the tool body (10) for splitting a portion of insulating material during winding of the insulating material.
