The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a seat portion element (1) which has a seat portion surface (11) and can be mounted onto the floor (3) of a motor vehicle, characterized in that said seat portion element (1) comprises two side flanks (13) which are connected by said seat portion surface (11) and each of which comprises a free edge (17), in that, in a first use position, said free edges (17) are placed above said seat portion surface (11), and in that, in a second use position, said free edges (17) are placed below said seat portion surface so as to raise said seat portion surface (11) by means of said side flanks.
