The invention relates to an electroacoustic transducer comprising an actuator (11), which oscillates longitudinally when an alternating voltage is applied. In order to substantially reduce the weight of the transducer while maintaining a sufficiently high sound power, especially transmission power, the actuator (11) consists of a tube (14), especially a plastic tube, and at least one composite module (15) that is rigidly connected to the tube wall (141) of the tube. The at least one composite module (15) comprises electrode structures which are arranged on at least two film layers of an electrically insulating material and which have interspaced electrodes and interspaced piezoceramic fibers that are arranged between the film layers and are contacted by the electrodes on ends facing away from each other.
