摘要：
The invention relates to a covering and fire-protection device for metal girders used in buildings. The casing comprises four modular elements, namely: first and second U-shaped section elements (10, 12) closely fitting the flanges of the girder (4) and positioned facing one another; and third and fourth straight section elements (20, 22) each connecting the first and second elements (10, 12) and closing the essentially rectangular compartment. The casing is formed by fire-resistant panels (14, 18, 19, 24) that are covered with a metal sheet (16, 26).
