The gripper device (112) comprises at least one stop element (144), which is equipped to stop the lancet (120) in the application position (124) and temporarily prevent further movement of the carrier element (116). The gripper device (112) further comprises at least one positioning element (148), which is equipped to position the lancet (120) during the piercing movement in at least one direction transversely to a piercing direction (126). The gripper device (112) can further comprise at least one counter-gripper (164), which is equipped to cooperate with the stop element (144) such that the lancet (120) can be positively braced.
