The invention relates to a head for dispensing fluid material including: a member for dispensing fluid material, such as a pump; a dispensing nozzle (4) that is connected to a jet (45) by means of a pipe (43); a push member (6, 7) that is manually and axially movable up and down for moving the dispensing nozzle (4) so as to dispense the fluid material; a rotary control brace (8) for axially moving the push member (6, 7) between a storing position and an actuating position. The head also includes: an axial guide means (36) for axially guiding the push member (6, 7) so that it does not rotate on itself, and a rotary cam means (56) that is rotatably driven by the control brace (8). The push member (6, 7) interlocks with said cam means (56) so as to bias the push member (6, 7) into axial movement without any rotary component.
