A request to edit a scan image that was acquired through an input apparatus is received (S2010) and an editing user interface area that includes an editing version of the scan image and at least one functional icon is displayed (S2020). After selection (S2030) of the editing version of the scan image, user input is received moving the editing version of the scan image to a predetermined area of the editing user interface area that corresponds to a functional icon (S2040). The editing version of the scan image is converted into text data (S2050), a function associated with the functional icon is determined, and the converted text data is used in the determined function associated with the functional icon (S2060,S2070).
