The present invention relates to a method for controlling a rotational velocity and/or a rotational angle position of at least a first position-controlled drive motor of a first device (v*) of a folder (Ol), wherein a sensor (21) detects a position of a signature (22) at a detection position, and wherein a first signal is sent from said sensor to a machine controller associated with the folder, and wherein at least one second device, which transports the signature between the detection position and the first device, is driven by means of a second position-controlled drive motor, and wherein the first and the second position-controlled drive motors are connected to the machine controller, and wherein position signals characterizing a rotational angle position of the first drive motor, and position signals characterizing a rotational angle position of the second drive motor are each sent to the machine controller, wherein one of said position signals represents a second signal which characterizes a rotational angle position of the first device, and wherein the machine controller, on the basis of the first signal and the second signal, controls the rotational velocity and/or the rotating angle position of the first drive motor of the first device.
