An assembly of domestic appliances includes a refrigerator with a compressor, a condenser, a washing appliance and a system for utilizing in the washing appliance waste heat from refrigerator, such system comprising a water reservoir having a latent heat storage unit in heat-exchange relationship with water and mounted in heat-exchange relationship with the compressor and/or the condenser and connected, on one side, to the water mains network and, on the other side, to the washing appliance.
