The invention relates to a distance measuring device (10), comprising at least one first measuring section (20a) and a second measuring section (20b), which extend in a respective longitudinal direction (26) and are oriented parallel to one another at least in a measurement region (136), at least one position transmitter (14), which couples in a contact-free manner to the measuring sections, and a measuring section holder (24), which extends in the measurement region and has openings (28a - 28c) in each of which a measuring section is disposed.
