The invention provides an apparatus and a related method. The apparatus according to the invention comprising a pack-off material (602A,602B) to be positioned in an annulus between a casing along sides of a borehole and a drill tubing in the borehole, wherein the pack-off material includes surface instrumentation (604,606) for communication with downhole instrumentation.
